Abstract Submission Guidelines

  1. General Information:

  1. Abstract Structure:

  • Title:

    • The title should be concise and clearly describe the abstract’s content

    • Should not exceed 35 words

  • Author(s):

    • List all authors' full names, affiliations, and email addresses

    • Indicate the presenting author with an underline

    • Indicate affiliations of authors with superscript numerals

    • Include the Authors’ names in the given format- First Name, Last Name1, First Name, Last Name2

      • e.g. John Doe1, Maria Rogue2

  • Abstract Body:

    • Word Limit: 350 words

    • The abstract must contain primary scientific or clinical data that have not been published elsewhere and have not been presented previously at an InSEV annual meeting

    • The abstract should be unstructured and must briefly describe the background and rationale for the study, the relevant hypothesis, study design, participants, procedures, and analysis methods; followed by a summary of main findings and a brief conclusion

    • Abstracts should be submitted in clear English. Authors are encouraged to have their abstract checked for grammar and spelling

    • Do not include any figures or infographics in the abstract

    • Choose the preferred presentation mode: oral or poster. Once accepted, all poster abstracts will be offered a poster presentation; however, only a limited number of oral-preference abstracts can be considered. The remainder will be offered poster presentations

  • Keywords:

    • Include 3-5 keywords that represent the main topics of the abstract

  1. Formatting Guidelines:

  • Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt

  • Line Spacing: Single-spaced

  • File Format: Submit your abstract as a Microsoft Word document (.doc or .docx)

  • File Name: Please name the file with your Name by capitalizing the first letters, e.g. John Doe.docx

  1. Submission Instructions:

  • Abstracts must be submitted electronically via the google form as mentioned

  • Each author can submit 1 abstract 5

  1. Review Process:

  • Acceptance will be based on the novelty, scientific merit, relevance to the conference theme, and clarity of the abstract

  • The submitters and presenting authors will receive confirmation of acceptance for oral presentation or poster presentation, by e-mail

  • No revisions can be made after the abstract deadline

  1. Presentation Format:

  • Authors of accepted abstracts may be invited to present their work as an oral presentation or poster

  • Details on presentation formats, including guidelines for oral and poster presentations, will be provided upon acceptance

  • Authors of abstracts selected for oral presentation will be informed about the session and date of presentation, and presentation guidelines will be provided

  • Poster presenters will be informed about the date of the poster session and will receive guidelines for preparation and presentation

  • Presentation in any format will only be allowed if the presenter is registered for the conference

  1. Ethical Considerations:

  • All research must have been conducted in accordance with ethical standards, and the same must be mentioned in the abstract

  • It is the sole responsibility of the authors to ensure accuracy of scientific content and language

  • Any conflicts of interest must be disclosed
